Terminal server solution with access to network share

It is possible to have a combined terminal server solution and client server solution.

In a terminal server environment, a central programme installation is used by one or several users directly on the server. (More information on this under “Terminal server solution”)

Clients can also be used through a client server solution. (More information on this under “Client server solution”)

The following system requirements apply to a client PC >

The following system requirements apply for the terminal server:

Minimum requirements Recommended
Operating system Windows Server 2008
NET Framework from Version 4.5.2
Windows Server 2012 R2
NET Framework from Version 4.5.2

The program is fully functional under the minimum requirements. To achieve a higher operating speed, we recommend to use SSD hard disks. These are much faster in processing than conventional HDDs.

The programme is licensed with a server USB dongle. You receive this when the programme is installed. The USB dongle must be connected to your terminal server before the programme is installed. A dongle driver is installed by default during programme installation.

After installation, users will need to be constantly connected to the terminal server.

Clients access the programme on the terminal server using network share. Network share requires a drive letter (e.g. \\Server\Logikal becomes L:\Logikal\)

While the programme is being used, data is processed in a temporary directory that is specific to the user. When using the programme via the client, this temporary directory must be located on the client hard disk.

For terminal server users, this temporary directory must be local, on a hard disk, and each user should have at least 30GB of memory available.

An individual folder is created for each user in the temporary directory for the terminal server solution. Please ensure that enough memory is available on the terminal server.

The path for the temporary directory is
C:\OrgaTMP up to Version 11.2.

From Version 11.2 onwards, the path for the temporary directory is

Windows users will require permission to read, write and edit for the programme directory and the temporary directory.

Companies have successfully gained access via third party software, e.g. Citrix, taking the requirements outlined in this document into account. We do not provide any support with regards setup.

Virtual app access, e.g. via Citrix XenApp, is not supported.
