Input of Element

Window hardware assistant

A digital assistant is used to select window hardware. It guides you step by step through the process of entering a window. All components are sequentially requested in logical order and the installation situation is taken into account.

  

Report

Report view with new features

The report view has been completely redesigned and offers a range of new features now.

Directory of contents and page preview

A page preview is shown on the left. For all reports you can switch between page view and a directory of contents. To do this, click on the ‘Directory’ tab at the bottom of the screen. The articles in the directory of contents are linked. Clicking on an article will take you directly to that location in the document.

Save reports as a PDF

The new formats for saving reports are PDF and XPS. Files can be stored in the project folder and accessed under ‘Documents’ in the project management.

Send reports via email

Reports can be sent via email. First enter a name for the file and then enter the recipient’s email address. Click on the ‘Send email’ button. Your default email programme will open for you to send the report.

Zoom in

To zoom into a particular area of a page, hold down the left mouse button and drag a box over the area you wish to enlarge.

The zoom factor can be adjusted using the tools in the ‘View’ area of the toolbar.

Find function

A new find function in the upper area of the programme window makes it much easier to find terms, article numbers, designations, etc.

Open reports in a new window

Starting from version 11.2 you can continue working in the programme whilst reports are being generated.

The report is generated in a separate window and does not affect the operation of other programme features.

Go to the project centre and click in the file menu on ‘Settings’ > ‘Additional Settings’ > ‘Print Options’.

Activate the ‘Display reports in separate window’ option.

Estimations

Estimation during Input of Element

A new live estimation feature has been integrated for window and door positions.

The price is generated automatically in the background and displayed in the top left corner.

If you make any changes to the position, these will be immediately reflected here.

In the Estimation Data window you will find a new area on the top right labelled ‘Estimation during input of elements’.

Live estimation settings can be made project-dependent or globally.

For a project-dependent estimation, click on ‘Job’ > ‘Project Estimation Data’.

Global estimation changes can be made under ‘User Database’ > ‘Estimation’ > ‘Data’.

Please note:

  • The ‘Estimation per position’ feature has been removed from the project header since standard estimation and position estimation are performed in parallel.
  • If an estimation has already been generated for a project, the determined cut surcharge for the standard estimation will also be applied to the dynamic estimation during Input of Element. If an estimation has not been calculated and no cut surcharge percentage has been entered for the standard estimation, a value of 0% will be used for the dynamic estimation during the input of element.
  • In order to use this feature, users must be given the ‘Estimation’ permission in the user administration area.

New user permission: Change material determination

The new user permission ‘Change settings for material determination estimation’ allows a user to view and modify the material determination options for an estimation dataset.

This can be necessary when materials are ordered different from the original estimation settings (e.g. if a bulk price list is used, filling and alternative articles)

The ability to view and edit the estimation or the estimation data is excluded.

When a user has assigned the ‘Estimation’ permission, the user will have access to both – the estimation data and the material determination options.

Permission can be assigned in the project centre in the file menu under ‘Settings’ > ‘Users’

Configurators

Adeco door panels

The Adeco door panel configurator has been integrated into the glazing input.

This new feature provides you the technical and commercial data for Adeco door panels.

Setup

To use the configurator, you will need to request a registration code (known as a ‘token’) from Adeco.

Enter this token in LogiKal as follows:

Go to the project centre and click in the file menu on ‘Settings’ > ‘Additional Settings’.

Switch to the ‘Online Configurators’ tab.

Enter the token under “Adeco”.

Usage

In the glazing input, go to ‘Filling’ and select ‘Adeco door panels’.

A new programme window opens with the configurator interface. Here you can ‘build’ your ‘custom panel’ using all the technical and commercial data from Adeco.

To navigate through the configurator, click on ‘Continue’ in the top right corner.

Once you have made all the desired settings, click on ‘Create offer and transfer data’ in the bottom left corner.

The door panel is available with all technical and commercial data in the glazing input.

The documents generated by the Adeco configurator can be found in the project centre on the right hand side under ‘Documents’.

Pilkington Glass configurator

The Pilkington Glass configurator is available from version 11.2.

Setup

To use the configurator you need to register your email address at Pilkington under http://spectrum.pilkington.com.

Enter this email address into LogiKal as follows:

Click in the project centre in the file menu on ‘Settings’ > ‘Additional Settings’.

Switch to the ‘Online Configurators’ tab.

Enter the email address into the appropriate field.

Usage

Go to the project centre and click in the file menu on ‘Job’ > ‘Project Articles> ‘Project Glass’.

Under ‘Online Configurator’ select ‘Pilkington Spectrum’.

The configurator opens in a new window.

On the left side you can set a filter for the glass properties. The filter results are shown on the right. To use a particular glass, click on an article on the right side.

The following screen allows you to modify the glass.

Click on the ‘Close’ button on the top right to transfer the glass to the project glasses in LogiKal.

Using for Input of Element

Open the glazing input. Under “Fillings” an entry with Pilkington Glass is available under ‘Project Glass’ and can be placed into the position.

Allebacker letter box configurator

The Allebacker letter box configurator has been integrated into the glass input.

This new feature provides you all the technical and commercial data for Allebacker post boxes.

Setup

In order to use this configurator you will need a customer number and a ‘Person in charge ID’ from Allebacker. If you do not have these details yet, you can request them from Allebacker.

Enter the access details into the programme as follows:

Click in the project centre in the file menu on ‘Settings’ > ‘Additional Settings’.

Switch to the ‘Online Configurators’ tab.

Enter your access details under “Allebacker”.

Usage

Open the glazing form in Input of Element.

Click in the position drawing on the field into which you wish to integrate a letter box.

Under ‘Filling’ select ‘Allebacker letter box’.

The Allebacker letter box configurator opens.

Follow the steps to create the letter box.

Once you have finished configuring the letter box, click on ‘Save project now’.

Click on the ‘X’ symbol on the top right to close the Allebacker configurator and return to the Input of Element screen.

The letter box with all technical and commercial data is now available in the glazing input.

CNC

Additional collision detection when working with disc cutters

Starting from version 11.2, the programme can display collisions in CAD when working with disc cutters.

 

User Database

Show/hide systems in Input of Element

Systems can be shown/hidden in the Input of Element.

Click in the project centre in the file menu on ‘User Database’ > ‘System Input > ‘System Data’.

To display a system in the Input of Element, activate the system here by checking the box next to the system name.

To hide a system in the Input of Element, uncheck the box next to the system name.

Article Reference Points

You can create reference points for your own articles/HUDs now. In this way you can edit machinings to the articles.

Click on ‘User Database’ > ‘Article Data’.

Select an article and click on the ‘Reference Points’ tab.

External monitoring

For fire protecting elements and panic doors a monitoring of an external institution is always required. Therefor a section has been added to the global settings where the testing institute can be selected and the certificate number entered.

Go to the project centre and click in the file menu on ‘User Database’ > ‘Global Preferences’ > ‘CE Data’.

The following programme window opens:

Click on the ‘External Monitoring’ tab.

On the right, select a ‘notified body’. The associated ID is automatically entered from the system.

To the right of this you can enter the certificate number.

This data is then indicated on the performance declaration and CE label.
