The new IFC export (Industry Foundation Classes) enables you to exchange BIM data independently of the software in use. The standardised data structure allows you to transmit the information of your elevations to all companies involved in a construction project.

Requirements

  • From program version 12.4
  • CAD-Suite 2D
  • BIM module

Start IFC export

  • In the project environment, right-click an elevation.
  • From the context menu, select "Export" > "IFC export":
  • Select the directory for the file. The following elevation data is exported:
    • Project name
    • Elevation name
    • Elevation description
    • Elevation category (Windows, Doors, etc.)
    • Geometric information
    • Colours
    • Material
    • Glass
    • Panels
    • Area ratio for glazing
    • U-value
    • Username
