In this chapter, you will learn how to create project variables and use them in various areas of the project. You will define options for project variables and enter their values. The chapter explains how to integrate project variables into apportion costs and project defaults to use them for calculating and managing project costs and specifications.

  • On the home screen, click "Settings".
  • Select "Project variables":

Add project variables

  • Click "Add":
  • Enter a name for the project variable:
  • Click "Add" to enter the values for the selection.
  • Click "OK" to complete the entry.

Project variables in apportion costs

  • On the home screen, click "Global preferences".
  • Select "Apportion costs":
  • Click "Add" to add a new cost type:
  • Enter all data in the following window:
  • Click "OK" to complete the process.
