This article provides an overview of the Excel-based glass estimation. The content is divided into general settings, header data and glass data. The focus is on assigning spreadsheet fields, transferring relevant values and structuring technical details such as dimensions, configuration and prices.
Setup
General Settings
- Activate the option "Display interface in printouts" to include the Excel transfer in the evaluations.
- Select a file under "Template Excel Spread Sheet" to transfer the data into an existing spreadsheet.
- If no file is specified, a new spreadsheet will be created.
- Enter the name of the Excel sheet under "Use Sheet" that should be used for the transfer.
- Activate the option "Input of Glass Dimensions in mm" to define the unit for glass dimensions.
Field Assignment
This section provides an overview of the field assignment within the header data and glass data. The assignment is made by specifying the spreadsheet cells whose contents are automatically transferred.
Header
- Enter the cell name for "Project Name" to transfer the project name.
- Enter the cell name for "Person in Charge" to transfer the name of the responsible person.
- Enter the cell name for "Quotation Number" to transfer the quotation number.
- Enter the cell name for "Job Number" to transfer the job number.
- Enter the cell name for "Customer Number" to transfer the customer number.
- Enter the cell name for "Name 1" to transfer the first name.
- Enter the cell name for "Name 2" to transfer the second name.
- Enter the cell name for "Insertion Costs" to transfer the insertion costs.
- Enter the cell name for "Sealing" to transfer the sealing costs.
- Enter the cell name for "Amount" to transfer the total amount.
- Enter the cell name for "Costs" to transfer the costs.
- Enter the cell name for "Profit" to transfer the profit.
- Enter the cell name for "Net Amount" to transfer the net amount.
- Enter the cell name for "Total Area" to transfer the total area.
- Enter the cell name for "Total Perimeter" to transfer the total perimeter.

Data per Glass
- Enter the cell name for "Sequential Number" to transfer the sequential number of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Project Name" to transfer the project name of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Position Number" to transfer the position number of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Quantity" to transfer the number of glass units.
- Enter the cell name for "Field Number" to transfer the numbering of the filling fields.
- Enter the cell name for "Config/Description" to transfer the configuration and description of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Only Configuration" to transfer only the configuration of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Only Description" to transfer only the description of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "U-Value" to transfer the thermal transmittance coefficient of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Description 1" to transfer the first description of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Description 2" to transfer the second description of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Special Glass Inside" to transfer the specification for special glass inside.
- Enter the cell name for "Special Glass Outside" to transfer the specification for special glass outside.
- Enter the cell name for "Special Glass Centre" to transfer the specification for special glass centre.
- Enter the cell name for "Width" to transfer the width of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Height" to transfer the height of the glass.
- Enter the cell name for "Thickness" to transfer the glass thickness.

Footer
- Click the button "Import" to load a file in "EFS format (Excel Form Settings)".
- Click the button "Export" to save the assignment in "EFS format (Excel Form Settings)".
- Click the button "OK" to apply the entries.
- Click the button "Cancel" to close the dialogue without saving changes.
Application
- Click "Interface Glass/Panel Estimation" in the tab "Printouts":

- The window with printout options opens:

- Activate "Print with Shaped Glass Drawing" to include the shaped glass drawing in the printout.
- Enter the field name under "Scale of Drawing" to assign the scale for the shaped glass drawing as a text input.
- Click the button "Estimation Data" to display the window with the underlying estimation data. More details on estimation data can be found in the chapter "Estimation Data".
- Enter the field name under "Drawing" to assign the desired view in the table. The following options are available:
- Interior View
- Exterior View
- Enter the field name under "Output" to assign the desired display format of the glass positions in the table. The following options are available:
- With Glass Numbers: Displays each position with the corresponding glass number.
- Summarised by Positions: Groups the glass elements by position without individual listing.
- Summarised: Lists all glass elements in a total sum without position reference.
- Sorted, with Glass Numbers: Displays the glass elements sorted, each with glass number.
- Sorted, with Position Numbers: Displays the glass elements sorted by positions.
- Sorted, summarised: Displays the glass elements sorted and in grouped form.
- Sorted, with Glass Name: Displays the glass elements sorted, each with glass type name.
- Activate "Hide Glass Type "No Glass"" to exclude this glass type from the output.
