1. Dongle activation via the update program
The update program enables the automatic activation of software components when it is launched. After the process is completed, you can close the program as no further steps are required.
Use case:
Use this method if you still have access to the program.
2. Dongle activation via the web interface
Activation via the web interface allows you to download the activation file through a browser and execute it to unlock the licence. To access the interface, you require the login details stored in the system. These credentials are shown in the information window or can be retrieved via the dongle manager.
Use case:
Use this method if you do not have access to the internal update program and you have the login details for the web interface of your dongle.
3. Dongle activation via the dongle manager
Activation via the dongle manager becomes necessary when the dongle runtime has expired and the program cannot be started anymore. Use this method if you have no access to the program or to the login details. The dongle manager allows you to retrieve the credentials for the web interface.

Use this method if the dongle runtime has expired or you no longer have access to the program and the web interface.
