This article describes how to create special shapes and complex constructions using the free input function. You draw the line framework directly in the CAD and then transfer it to the input of elements. This function is suitable for positions that cannot be represented using the grid input and requires a manual definition of the geometry.
Note:
For elements created with the free input function, the following options are not available in the grid input:
- Add-On Profiles
- Couplings
- Solid Glas Corners
- Foldings
Create a new position using free input
- Create a new position to open the grid input.
- Select "Free input":
- The CAD opens. Draw the grid for the position.
- On the "Start" tab, click "Apply" to transfer the grid to input of elements:
- The grid is inserted into the input of elements and can be further edited.
