Roll profiles
Select under "Roll Profiles" whether and how you want to roll individual shells yourself. The following options are available:
- Dual-colour
- Always
- Never
Bulk price list
Define under "Bulk Price List" when it should be considered in the estimation. The following options are available:
- Never
- Always
- Automatic
- Automatic, different PUs
Note:
The availability of bulk price lists depends on the supplier.
Cut surcharge percentage
Activate the "Cut surcharge percentage" option to define a fixed percentage for the calculation of waste.
Note:
The cut surcharge percentage is also used in alternative positions and grid price lists.
Calculate optimised wastage
- Activate the "Calculate optimised wastage" option to automatically calculate the optimised waste.
- The percentage for the optimised waste consists of:
-
- The end deductions (depending on supplier specifications, machine settings, and settings for custom colours)
- The residual lengths of the profile bar that fall below the set usable residual length
- The deduction for saw blade
Attention!
For profiles in alternative positions, the cut optimisation is not performed. In this case, the estimation is based on the averaged estimation surcharge of the other position(s) within the project.
- Activate the "Assign all residual lengths to wastage" function to assign all residual lengths generated in the entire project to the cut surcharge.
Negative residual lengths
Negative remaining lengths are generally allowed. When the sum of the residual lengths is lower than the saw cut deduction, the output is 0 mm.
Example:
Bar length: 6000 mm
- Total end deductions: 20 mm (= usable bar length: 5980 mm)
- Saw blade deduction: 10 mm
Cuttings + saw blade deductions: 990 + 10 + 990 + 10 + 987 + 10 + 987 + 10 + 987 + 10 + 987 + 10 = 5988 mm
The residual length is -8 mm because the set saw blade deduction (10 mm) is greater than the remaining material for the last cut (2 mm). The program calculates with a residual length of 0 mm.
Use single articles, no kits
Activate the "Use single articles, no kits" function to use and estimate the individual parts of window hardware packages.
Note:
The availability of single articles in window hardware packages depends on the supplier.
Select alternative article groups
Alternative articles can be stored in the database as groups (see "Alternative article").
- Click the "Select alternative article groups" option to include them in the estimation.
- Select the groups in the following window:

Note:
Alternative articles without group assignment will not be displayed in this window and will always replace the originals.
Extrapolate to whole packaging units (accessories/hardware)
Activate the "Extrapolate to whole packaging units (accessories/hardware)" option to round up all hardware and accessory articles to full packaging units for estimation purposes.
Attention!
- The resulting estimation surcharge for hardware and accessories will be correspondingly higher.
- This function is not considered in the grid price list.
