• Double-click the bar drawing to open the machining and groups in the detail view:
  • On the left side, you will find an overview of the machining and groups used:
  • On the right side, a 3D view of the profile, including machining, is displayed. Press and hold down the left mouse button and rotate the profile to view the machining from different angles. Alternatively, use the icons located to the left of the 3D window.
  • On the "Start" tab, click "Display CAD" to display the detailed bar drawings with all machining faces in CAD Suite 2D:

  • On the "Start" tab, click "Overview" to display all profiles and machining that relate to the selected profile, e.g., frame with lock bead + sash with lock:

Free machining groups

In the "Machining" section, free machining can be programmed on a bar.

  • Open the detail view.
  • Click "New" to create a new free machining:

  • Creating machining in the input of elements is similar to the input in the CNC database. Read "Enter Machining" for further details.

Import free machining

If you already created free machining in the CNC database, you can import it to the CNC machining.

  • On the "Start" tab, click "Import":
  • Select the free machining and groups from the upper section:
  • Select the option "Display all machining" to list all system machining.
  • Under "Insert relative to", select how the machining and groups are aligned. Depending on the machining/group, the following options are available:
    • Profile start, bottom
    • Profile start, right
    • Profile end, top
    • Profile end, left
    • Profile centre
    • Sequential
    • Y-multiple
    • Area from start
    • Area from end
    • Sequence from start
    • Sequence from end
  • For the options "Profile start, right," "Profile end, left," and "Profile centre," enter the edge distance, the maximum distance and the length under "Dimension" for the machining placement.
  • For the options "Sequence from start" and "Sequence from end," enter the edge distance and under "Offset" the machining distance.
  • Click the "1<->6" button to place the machining on another profile face.
  • Click the "<-|->" button to mirror the machining on the profile:
  • A new free group will be generated and displayed in the list under "Free system groups" on the left side of the detail view:
  • To the right of the list, you can modify the group data.
  • Right-click the free group and select "Explode CNC Group" from the context menu to display the individual subgroups and/or machining contained in the group:
  • Explode a subgroup again and the free machining contained in the group will be displayed:
  • On the "Start" tab, click "Close" to exit the detail view.
