Escape doors

Based on the standards for escape doors (EN 179) and panic doors (EN 1125), Logikal provides you ingenious utilities that enable you to comply with the legal requirements – without a great deal of extra effort.

Thanks to the advanced settings for leaf types, you can easily define closing functions and opening directions. For better visualisation, the corresponding escape door symbol is shown in the position drawing. In the cross section drawing, a green arrow indicates the direction in which the escape door opens.

How it works

Create a door position in the input of element.

Enter the opening direction in the insert selection.

A programme window opens with the settings for the leaf types.

Select under "Escape door function" the opening direction and masterleaf.

Confirm your entry and click on the "OK" button.

The escape door symbol is now displayed in the position drawing.

A green arrow in the cross section drawing visualises the escape direction.

External monitoring

Escape doors and fire protection elements must always be monitored by an external institute. Logikal can also help you with this issue. In the global preferences, you will find input options in the CE area in which the test institute performing the test can be selected and the certificate number entered. This data is automatically included in performance declarations and CE markings. You can find out more about this topic in the chapter External monitoring.
