Administrate Drawings

Create a new drawing

You have three possibilities to create new drawings.

1. File Menu
Click on "File" in the file menu and select the option "New".

2. Toolbar
Click on the button "New" in the toolbar.

3. Shortcut
Press the keys ALT and F to get in the file menu and press the key N for "New".
You may also use the key combination CTRL + N.

Add Drawings / Profiles

You have three possibilities to add drawings.

1.  File Menu
Click on "File" in the file menu and select the option "Load".

2. Toolbar
Click on the button "Load" in the toolbar.

3. Shortcut
Press the keys ALT and F to get in the file menu and press the key L for "Load".
You may also use the key combination CTRL + O.

You also have the possibility to add drawings to the drawing area.

1. File Menu
Click on "File" in the file menu and select the option "Add Drawing".

2. Toolbar
Click on the button "Add" drawing in the toolbar.

3. Shortcut
Press the keys ALT and F to get in the file menu and press the key A for "Add Drawing".

You have three possibilities, to add profile drawings to the drawing area.

1. File Menu
Click on "File" in the file menu and select the option "Add Profile".

2. Toolbar
Click on the button "Add Profile" in the toolbar.

3. Shortcut
Press the keys ALT and F to get in the file menu and press the key d for "Add Profile".

Save

You have several possibility to save drawings to the CAD database.

1. File Menu
Click on "File" in the file menu and select the option "Save".

2. Toolbar
Select the button "Save" in the toolbar.

3. Shortcuts
Press the keys ALT and F to get in the file menu and press the key v for "Save".
You may also use the key combination CTRL + S.

Save as

By using the function "Save as" you may save the active drawing under another name or another directory in the CAD database.

Click on "File" in the file menu and select the option "Save as".

Or use the key combination ALT + F to get to the file menu and select the option "Save as".

Save Selected Objects

Selected parts of a drawing will be saved as follows.

Select a the part of the drawing you want to save. Then click on "File" in the file menu and select the option "Save Selected Objects".

Alternative you can use the key combination ALT + F to get to the file menu and press the key t for "Save Selected Objects".

Backup

CAD creates backups, so that you can always restore a drawing if the computer e.g. crashes.

The latest backup can be load under "File -> Last Backup".
Use the key combination ALT + F to get to the file menu and select the key k for "Last Backup".

The time until an automatic backup can be set under "Settings -> User Preferences".
There you can enter time in minutes.

Import

You may import drawings from OCD, DXF, DWG and HPG files.

Therefor click on "File -> Import".

Select a drawing from the dialogue.

To enter the drawing on the drawing area please press the key enter or left mouse key.

Export

Exports drawings to use them in external applications. The following formats are available:

  • DXF (Data Exchange Format)
  • DWG (AutoCAD)
  • PS (Postscript)
  • BMP (Windows-Bitmap)
  • OCD (Orgadata-CAD-Format)
  • ZIP (DXF as Zip-File)
  • EMF (Windows Media File)
  • JPG (JPEG-Format)

Use the function "Export Selected Objects", to export selected areas of drawings.

Print

Prints a drawing from the plot mask.
