Global labour hours

Global labour hours are defined for various production steps, including assembly, mounting hardware, glazing, cut, as well as for system-dependent articles such as door hardware, material packages, wall connections, add-on profiles, couplings and bottom configurations. These specifications provide the basis for recording the required labour hours for each production step and can be flexibly exported and imported.

Edit labour hours

  • On the home screen, click "Estimation" > "Labour hours":
  • The system selection opens:
    • Double-click "Standard" to define system-independent, standard labour hours for an element type. The following element types are available for standard labour hours:
      • Aluminium-wood windows and doors
      • Plastic windows and doors
      • Steel windows and doors
      • Wood windows and doors
      • Aluminium windows and doors
      • Lift and slide doors
      • Curtain walls
    • Double-click a system to define labour hours for this system. Depending on the system, the following element types are available for system-dependent labour hours:
      • Aluminium-wood windows and doors
      • Plastic windows and doors
      • Steel windows and doors
      • Wood windows and doors
      • Aluminium windows and doors
      • Lift and slide doors
      • Curtain walls
      • Position framework
      • Pocket filler
      • Roller shutter
      • Fly screens
      • Conservatory
  • In the next window, you can define labour hours for the different areas. The areas displayed vary depending on the selected system and element type:

Define labour hours

  • Click a field to define labour hours for the respective production step. The structure of the following window may vary depending on the selection:

Displayed columns Article Description Examples
1 Piece article If only this column is displayed, labour hours can only be entered for piece articles. Corner connectors, T-connections, door hardware, curtain wall connections, material packages
1 and 2 Piece and/or length article When these columns are displayed, labour hours for piece and/or length articles can be entered. Add-on profiles, couplings, bottom configurations, wall connections, glass ventilator
1, 2 and 3 Piece, length and/or area article When these columns are displayed, labour hours can be entered for piece, length, and/or area articles. Sealing, insertion times for windows and doors in curtain walls

Labour hours with conditions

If the labour time depends on length and area conditions, the following window opens:

Define basic labour hours

  • Click "Add". The following window opens:
  • Under "Quantity", enter how often this input should be applied.
  • Under "Description", select the production step.
  • Under "Min/m", enter the minutes per meter when calculating the labour hours by circumferential meters.
  • Under "Min/Pc", enter the minutes per piece when calculating the labour hours per piece.
  • Under "Min/m²", enter the minutes per square metre when calculating labour hours per square metres.

  • Under "Comment", enter an info text (max. 20 characters) about your entries; e.g. the date of the definition.
  • Click "OK".

Define additional labour hours and conditions

  • Click "Add".
  • Under "Quantity", enter how often this input should be applied.
  • Under "Description", select the same production step as for the basic labour hours.
  • Under "Min/m", "Min/pc" or "Min/m²", enter the labour hours in minutes that will be added to the basic labour hours with the conditions selected below.
  • Define one or more conditions for the additional labour hours:
    • Under "Width >= (m)", enter a minimum width of the article/position in meters as a condition.
    • Under "Width < (m)", enter a maximum width of the article/position in meters as a condition.
    • Under "Height >= (m)", enter a minimum height of the article/position in meters as a condition.
    • Under "Height < (m)", enter a maximum height of the article/position in meters as a condition.
    • Under "Area >=", enter a minimum area of the article/position in square meters as a condition.
    • Under "Area <", enter a maximum area of the article/position in square meters as a condition.
    • Under "Project variable", select the project variable and the value of the project variable as a condition. The defined labour hours are calculated when the selected project variable is defined in the project preferences.
    • Under "Assembly place", select the assembly place as a condition. The defined labour hours are calculated when the selected assembly place is defined in the user database.
    • Under "Material", select the material for which you want to account for labor time.

  • Under "Comment", enter an info text (max. 20 characters) about your entries; e.g. the date of the definition.
  • Click "OK".
