- Open a position.
- In the "Element" section, on the "Edit" tab, click "Profile splices":
- Select the profile you want to split in the position drawing:
- The following window opens:
Note:
The end deduction of the bar length given here varies from profile to profile. You can change the end deduction of a profile in the optimisation data.
- Click "Add" (1) to enter the dimension of the splice:
- Select a dimension in the list and click "Edit" (2) to change the dimension.
- Select a dimension in the list and click "Delete" (3) to remove the dimension from the list.
- Click "Automatic" (4) to have the program calculate the optimal profile splices. This function considers both end deduction and saw cuts.
- Click "Multiple" (5) to enter the distances yourself.
- In the window that follows, under "First distance", define the first dimension from left where the first splice will be applied.
- Under "Sequential distance," enter the distance between the profile splices.
- Click "OK". The distances are calculated for the entire length of the profile and are entered in the list.
- If necessary, enter a value under "Gap" (6).
- If necessary, select the option "Also split secondary profiles" (7) to include secondary profiles in the profile splice.
- If necessary, select the option "Also split glazing beads (100mm shifted)" (8). The 100mm offset is set automatically.
- To complete the profile splice, click "OK".
- To close the profile splice window, click "Close" in the upper left of the "Edit" tab:
- The profile splice is displayed in the position drawing:
Split wall connection at coupling
To create transportable units with secondary profiles, you have the option of splitting wall connections at a coupling.
- In the "Element" section, on the "Edit" tab, click "Profile splices":
- In the position drawing, select the wall connection:
- Select the option "Split at coupling":
- Click "OK". The wall connection profiles are split at the positions of the couplings. The splices are displayed in the position drawing:
In the parts list, the coupling distance is deducted from the wall connection profile cut:
- If necessary, additionally select the option "Ignore coupling distance":
- Click "OK". The wall connection profiles are split at the positions of the couplings. The splices are displayed in the position drawing. In the parts list, the base profile is listed cut to axis dimension split without coupling distance:
